Deck Creations Story

Deck Creations began in 2007 with a simple goal: to help people imagine and create a beautiful outdoor living space. Over a decade later, we are proud to say that Deck Creations is a second generation, family owned and operated business. 

We are pleased that Deck Creations has achieved and maintained its reputation for stellar client services while winning several PRO Awards for design and craftsmanship. Deck Creations believes in bringing the outdoors home, giving families restorative spaces where they can enjoy being together.

The Evolution

At the start of 2019, Don and Stella’s success had grown their business to a new level, so they brought in Stella’s son Eric and his wife Sara to help mature a traditional construction company into a customer-focused design and build firm. Ownership was transferred to Sara and Eric and the name was simplified from Deck Creations of Richmond to Deck Creations.

And as of 2024, Deck Creations now designs and builds outdoor projects for families in the upstate of South Carolina.

We are a locally-owned, family business.

Under Eric and Sara’s careful and innovative leadership, Deck Creations expanded from a company with a focus on decks to a company with a wide-angle lens — entire backyard renovations. Sara and Eric are pleased that as a family business, Deck Creations has maintained its reputation for stellar customer service while winning several NARI awards for design and craftsmanship.

We bring your outdoor dreams to life.

Our small, family owned business uses trusted, reliable materials in all our projects and has the best carpenters around. We proudly serve residential, commercial, and government clients, from small projects to large ones. From the exploration phase until completion, our high standards guide each project, and our excellent customer service ensures that your high standards are met, as well.

We now proud service two locations: the Richmond, Charlottesville, Williamsburg, and Hampton Roads areas and the Greenville and Spartanburg areas in South Carolina.
