Advanced PVC Decking

Advanced PVC Decking by TimberTech is a preferred choice because it offers a realistic wood look and excellent performance.  The five reasons to like this decking option are:

Vintage Collection
(Designed to resemble exotic hardwoods)
Landmark Collection
(Designed with crosscut character)
Harvest+ Collection
(Designed with a cathedral grain aesthetic)

Composite Decking

Composite deck boards also offer a wood look; however, the boards are constructed differently.  The boards have a polymer cap that keeps our moisture and creates a durable surface. These category is also organized into collections.  The Legacy collection, for example, has the appearance of a hand-shaped finish; whereas, the entry level Premier Collection looks less realistic and more like a painted surface.

The key features of TimberTech composite decking are:

Legacy Collection
(Designed with a hand scraped finish)
Reserve Collection
(Designed with a reclaimed wood look)
Terrain+ Collection

Prime+ Collection

Frequently Asked Questions

Each situation is unique, but generally, a pressure-treated wood deck is less expensive than a composite deck. We suggest, however, that you not just consider initial construction costs. Wood decks will require more ongoing maintenance and care, and typically wood decks have a shorter useful life. When you are discussing the options with your design consultant because sure to review how weather and use may affect the total cost of the project over a 10 to 15-year period.

Sometimes a simple repair of a damaged deck board by a handyman is all you need. But if the deck is showing broad wear on the decking surface or deterioration with the structure, then give us a call at Deck Creations.

Trex deck boards are available with a solid or grooved edge. How the board will be used often determines the edge profile. At Deck Creations, we picture frame all our decks by default. This creates a nice clean finished look. To achieve this we use square-edge boards for the perimeter and grooved edged boards for the interior.

A green rectangular frame with white ornate edges, reminiscent of a nameplate or sign, adds a touch of elegance to any deck.

There are three options for cleaning your new composite decking.

1.) Use a brush.  TimberTech recommends using the Quickie® Bulldozer Deck Scrub Brush or a medium-stiffness nylon bristle deck brush.

2.) You can use an approved cleaner.  Suggested options include Corte Clean or Wash Safe Spray and Clean Composite.

3.) Homeowners can power wash their decking. The recommended maximum pressure is 1,500 PSI and a fan-tipped nozzle should be used. And according to TimberTech, “…Spray in the direction of the grain pattern, never across the grain or width of the board, to avoid damaging the product.

Use caution not to damage the material and always take proper safety precautions when operating a power washer.”
